Global internship program FAQs

FAQs

If I am accepted into the program, am I guaranteed a hybrid/in-person internship?

Yes.

If we are unable to place you in a hybrid/in-person internship within your primary or secondary career field you are protected by our money-back guarantee.

When is the deadline to apply for the Global Internship Program?

In order to have enough time to complete the required processes involved, you must apply for our Global Internship Program at least 2 months before your desired start date. Applicants are accepted into our programs on a rolling basis & we offer programs starting every month of the year.

What is included in the Global In-person Internship Program?

All hybrid/in-person internship programs include placement in a professional internship, accommodation, airport pick-up, 24/7 support from local staff, visa assistance, access to our Career Advancement Training platform as well access to our Keynote Speaker Series.

Before your internship begins, you’ll receive a pre-trip welcome pack, as well as access to a variety of professional development tools to prepare you for your experience. If applicable, our team will also assist you with the necessary documentation to receive academic credit.

When you arrive to your destination, you’ll take part in a welcome orientation, as well as regular cultural and social events to help you get to know your new city and fellow interns.

However, the program inclusions don’t stop when your internship is over. Upon completion, each intern has a personalized career coaching session with an Alumni Success Coach. You’ll also have access to our global community of professionals, and all of the networking benefits it provides!

What type of things will I be doing in my hybrid/in-person internship?

Meaningful, collaborative, project-based work with clear guidelines is the theme within all of our high-quality hybrid/in-person internships. To ensure project guidelines are clearly defined, that you are making progress and continuously learning in your internship you will have regularly scheduled one-on-one catch-ups with your internship supervisor.

Can I receive academic credit for an internship through The Intern Group?

Our School of Record, Florida A&M University, an accredited public university located in the USA, awards equal academic credit for The Intern Group’s internships.

Whether you can receive academic credit for an internship depends on your individual academic situation. Please carefully read through our page on academic credit here. The content on our page on academic credit applies to both in-person and virtual internships through The Intern Group.

Are hybrid/in-person internships paid?
