This video was made in Medellin, Colombia during a group site visit. Each year we host approximately 10-12 university professionals on a site visit to one of our internship destinations, so that you can learn more about how our programs will meet your students’ needs. If you’re interested in attending future site visits, ask your representative.
Here are the benefits of partnering with The Intern Group:
- Discount for your students
- Tailored scholarship plans
- Customized internship programs (including faculty led and short term)
- Sending more students abroad at scale to realize their potential
- Ability to track all of your students in real time
- Brochures and content to help raise your students’ awareness of our international opportunities
- Designated TIG representative in your region

Financial accessibility is extremely important to us at The Intern Group, which is why we give students from our partner institutions a university discount that can be combined with need-based assistance. In addition, we encourage our participants to inquire if they can do our program for credit, whether directly from their home institution or from Florida A&M University, our school of record. We work together with our partner universities to send more students on international education programs, enabling them to further realize their potential.
What our partners say:
Last November I visited The Intern Group in Medellin for a site visit. My full itinerary made my visit very worthwhile and I got a real sense of the work that they do. I was able to connect with staff from The Intern Group office in Medellin, meet with partner companies, attend an alumni event and see a little bit of the city as well as where our students would live.
I was really impressed, not only with the high level of support and service that interns receive from staff in the Medellin office, but the very positive relationships they have developed with the companies they work with. There is a clear sense of mutual benefit. Interns are given valuable projects and tasks to undertake which, importantly, develop their skills and allow them to learn about the world of work in an international context, but also adds real benefit to the host company. Companies genuinely welcomed the fresh insight of interns and what they could bring to the organisation.
It’s a wonderful place, and I met some of the most friendly and welcoming people I have come across, who have a real sense of pride in introducing their city. The current interns, and alumni I met while there were having a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience, many commenting that they didn’t want to leave.
