Here are a few examples of roles that our Music Interns have taken on before:

Opportunities are in abundance, as you can write music for artists, theater productions and shows, gaining exclusive access to some of the best in the business, building relationships and doing what you love.

  2. Music Scout

The music industry knows no bounds, and a music scout must be able to spot talent anywhere. From local gigs, to agent meets, social media and the streets, interns must be able to identify artists with originality, confidence and most importantly talent when finding the best artists to introduce to the producer at the label.

  3. Producer Assistant

You will shadow the producer as they conduct recording sessions with artists on the label. Interns will be able to provide ideas and assist in the session’s creative direction. From helping to mix tracks to selecting songs, taking part in live recordings to coaching artists, this role will provide insight into the production process of making a successful soundtrack.

  4. Tour Assistant

Interns will be required to plan tours, set up venues and work with the tour manager to ensure successful performances. An intern’s duties will include assisting in drafting contracts, arranging transportation and accommodation for the artists and staff.  If you prefer to always be on the move, tours are the way to go, plus, you get to watch great artists perform live.

“Sometimes when you’re looking for an internship it’s hard to find somewhere where you’re doing the actual work. If you don’t show up a day it doesn’t really affect anything but here you’re actually a part of a team where you can see the work you’ve done.“

Katie Jones Skidmore College

“This remote internship helped me to realize that I want to study computer science and that this is something that I'm passionate about. It's also something that I wouldn't have explored had I not done this internship.“
