What happens if I'm accepted into a virtual/remote internship program?

If you're accepted into our virtual/remote internship program, you might be wondering what comes next. After you've confirmed your enrollment on our program with a tuition deposit, here are the next steps:
1. Placement process
We want to ensure that we find you the best internship match, which is why we go through a collaborative placement process.
Interview and match
Once you are enrolled in our program, our expert placement team will begin by creating a professional profile for you that will be sent out to our extensive network of host organizations to find a role that best matches your profile. You will then have an interview with the host organization to ensure that it is the best match on both ends.
Confirm role
Most of our participants are successful with their first interview because our placement specialists are highly knowledgeable about the labor market and have our interns’ best interest in mind. If not, we will continue to search for the next best match. During the placement process, you will also be asked to submit the first of the two installments of the program fee payments.
2. DDI assessment
Your professional development begins before you start your virtual/remote internship program with a workplace assessment that will identify your strengths and weaknesses. This is a great way for you to pinpoint areas for improvement during your internship.
3. Welcome orientation
You’ll benefit from welcome and orientation sessions with The Intern Group and your host organization so that you’re set up for success.
4. Internship
Realize your potential by interning in your chosen career field in a global host organization.
5. Career advancement training
Develop the 8 key competencies that the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) have identified as essential to succeed in the 21st century. You will build the skills to thrive.
6. Learn from the best
Benefit from 6 months access to our flagship keynote speaker series featuring global business leaders. Our speaker series consists of real-time, online talks with successful and fascinating figures from all career fields. You will learn what it really takes to succeed.
7. Exit interview
When your internship finishes you’ll have a one on one exit interview with our team to talk about your experience. You’ll also receive an official certificate of program completion.
