It’s never too early to think about what professional opportunities are on the horizon. Especially during those crucial university years, it’s important to look forward to what’s next and take advantage of every opportunity available. In today’s competitive job market earning real-world professional experience through internships can be a real game-changer. However, fall internship opportunities can fill up fast, if you don’t apply on time. If you’re unsure as to when to apply for fall internships, here’s your guide:

When to apply for fall internships

Most internship programs include strict deadlines of when to apply. Use early summer months to do research and identify the many different internship roles that interest you. Think about where you’re looking to get work experience and what kind of internship would best prepare you for your career. Take into consideration, the more internship applications you send in, the more fall internship opportunities you’ll have to choose from. Once you’ve decided which internships interest you most, it’s a good idea to set up an internship application calendar with a list of application requirements and deadlines. If you’re interested in applying for an internship abroad, The Intern Group accepts applications on a rolling schedule. However, because of how competitive The Intern Group’s programs are, it’s highly encouraged to apply as early as possible. Like many internship programs, early applications receive primary consideration for the most competitive roles.
