The Intern Group Scholarships for 2018

The Intern Group is pleased to announce that applications for grants for our summer/fall 2018 programs are now open. The application deadline is February 2nd 2018.

The Intern Group is offering grants to four outstanding students or recent graduates. We are looking for talented, ambitious and global-minded students or recent graduates. There are four Global Leadership Grants available.

  • 2000 USD Global Leadership Grant to Latin America
  • 2500 USD Global Leadership Grant to Shanghai
  • 2500 USD Global Leadership Grant to Dublin
  • 2500 USD Global Leadership Grant to Australia

The Global Leadership Grants cover approximately 50% of a 6-week summer program fee. Please note that if you apply for the program via the traditional interview process and you apply for the Global Leadership Grant and you are the chosen recipient, your grant will be reimbursed to you.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be available to begin their 6 week program in Colombia on the date selected
  • Candidates must be a full-time student (undergraduate or masters) or recent graduate
  • Candidates can only apply for one Global Leadership Grant
  • Candidates must be willing to document their experience in the form of four written blogs or video blogs or a combination of the two

Requirements

  • Answer the following question in no more than 650 words: “Why do you feel an international education is important today and how do you think an international internship will help you achieve your career goals?”
  • Letter of recommendation. This can be a letter from anyone who can speak about your experience and how it relates to achieving your goals (a past or current teacher, professor, employer and so on).
  • CV/Resume

Selection Process

Candidates must submit their essay, letter of recommendation and resume via the online application form. Applications close on February 2nd, 2018. Any applications received after that deadline will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by February 12th, 2018 and will need to upload a video in which they respond to a career-focused question (1 minute 30 seconds in length) by February 25th. This question will be specified at the time of shortlisting. The winner of the $2000 Global Leadership Grant to Latin America will be announced by March 9th. Please note that if the selected recipient doesn’t confirm their place on the program by placing a deposit of 500GBP by March 16th, the Global Leadership Grant will be awarded to the runner up.
